In the area you can find many beautiful towns.
Le Bessey
This picturesque hamlet is located below the skiing station of Oz and can be reached with a beautiful 2 km walk. This walk goes past a waterfall as well as many other sights.
Vaujany
Vaujany is a skiing station that is also part of the skiing area Grandes Rousses. This village has a subtropical pool with Jacuzzi and sauna that provide for a pleasant break from your other activities.
Allemont
This village lies in the valley at the foot of the mountain on which Oz Station is located. Allemont lies next to the Lac de Verney on which you can do many water sports.
Bourg d’Oisans
This is the center of the region and it can be reached from Oz station in between 20 and 25 minutes. This town has a large supermarket as well as many other shops.
Alpe d’Huez
This is the place of the famous climb of the Tour de France. In addition to that this is the center of the large skiing area of Grandes Rousses. Here you will find many shops, restaurants and a diverse nightlife.
Grenoble
Located at the foot of the Alps at a distance of 55 kilometers from Oz, Grenoble is the region’s capital. Here you will find many shops, churches, museums, culture, etc, that all make it a nice destination for a trip during your summer holiday.
National park “des Ecrin”
On the other side of the Romanche you will discover the national park “des Ecrin”. This national park totals 91,800 hectares and is the highest national park in France with several peaks reaching more than 3000 – ideal for the experienced mountain hiker!
